Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler[a]
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

Romans 8:18
*For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.*

Galatians 5:1 (New International Version)
Galatians 5
Freedom in Christ
1It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

“wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong, learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.”- Isaiah 1:16-17

3 He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory. Isaiah 61:3

My Sister,

Be encouraged. I am passing along 2 items. One is something that I have received and the other is something that I read and it is AMAZING how God works. One after another confirming what I was to share with you...

ITEM ONE:

God Is Our Keeper
Deuteronomy 1:30-31

Often when we face trials, our first response is to find a way to change
our circumstances. We try to plan or devise a quick, painless way
through the difficulty. But God is our keeper.

He watches over us with great care, and His eyesight is not limited to
the moment. He knows the way behind and before us. Nothing that comes
our way is a surprise to the Lord.

Though there will be times when you may not understand His leading, go
forward with Him. He only leads you along the paths that He has prepared
for you. Before the battle of Jericho, God encouraged Joshua by saying,
"Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord
your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9).

As you begin your week, take comfort in the fact that God knows exactly!
what is up ahead, and He will be with you every step of the way.
Whatever you face, He will provide the strength you need to emerge as a
victor!

ITEM TWO:

IN TOUCH Ministries - Charles Stanley
Discouragement - What is it?
Joshua 1:7
Because we consider certain emotions and behaviors harmless, we don't pay much attention to them. In fact, we regard some attitudes as "normal" that we just assume everyone feels them from time to time. Yet, if we look beneath the surface, we'll discover hidden danger and realize the situation is different from the way it appears. One good example is discouragement.
A lot of people view discouragement and disappointment as the same thing, but this is a misconception. Disappointment is an emotional response to a failed expectation, whereas discouragement is the spoiled fruit that results from unresolved disappointment.
Since we can not experience perfect success every single time we try something, there's no way to avoid all disappointments in life. However, we can avoid discouragement; it is a choice that we make when we decide whether or not we will allow our times of disappointment to destroy our confidence.
And that's exactly what discouragement is - a complete lack of confidence, a feeling of dismay, and a loss of motivation regarding something that brings fulfillment and purpose. Think about the very word "discourage." The prefix "dis-" means "without." So, to be discourage is to be without courage altogether.
Can you see how this is a tremendous problem for a Christian? The Bible calls us to be strong and courageous, trust Jesus Christ for what we need. If you're without this courage, the first thing you must do is ask God to wipe away your fears and remind you of His mighty power.

Blessings my Sister. May He lift you at this time...
Jana

Good Morning Sis.Sandra,

How are you today? I pray that all is well. I saw your email, and it is a blessing to see sisters in Christ responding in times of need. God is awesome all the time. He shows up during the great or rough parts of our lives. I always say that if we, as believers in Christ continue to stand on that strong foundation, He will help us through whatever is going on. Psalms 23 is one of the many scripture passages that gives us comfort in knowing that we have One who loves and cares for us. Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty; reminds us that God is our protection. He is our Rock, the Author and Finisher, The Great I Am; and because of this we know there is security in Him. Bless the Lord at all times, and Praise Him for His mighty acts. TTYS

Have a wonderful Blessed Day

On another note... my inspirational calendar says:

Encouragement is awesome. It has the capacity to lift a man's or

woman's shoulders... To breathe fresh fire into the fading embers of a

smoldering dream. To actually change the course of another human

being's day, week, or life.
